PAUGHSS ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
General Requirements for Admission to PAUGHSS Programmes.
- Admission will be on the basis of outstanding academic achievement as exhibited in the performance at Bachelor’s level.
- Applicants shall be talented and enterprising graduates with promising and strong leadership potential, seeking to undertake postgraduate study/research in Africa.
- In addition to prioritizing academic achievement, selection will also take into account some desirable cross-cutting issues so as to encourage diversity in the class/programme. These include:
- Regional/sub-regional balance
- Gender balance
- A satisfactory medical report showing that the student will be able to complete the course.
- Identification document (passport or ID card)
- Ability to work in a team.
Specific Requirements for Master's Degree Programmes.
- An applicant must be a holder of at least a Second Class (Upper Division) Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent awarded by a recognized/accredited University.
- The languages of tuition are English and French; therefore, proficiency in English or French is mandatory. This will be assessed during the admission interview.
- ICT literacy: the student should be familiar with basic computer tools for editing documents (such as MS Word and MS Excel) and internet access.
- Applications shall comprise:
- A completed application form (available online on the Pan African University’s website)
- An application letter (letter of motivation)
- Certified copies of transcripts of academic records of all years of study.
- A Certified copy of the first-degree certificate or equivalent or proof of graduation
- A copy of identification document
- Two passport-size photos
- A one-page résumé/CV
- Two references; one being from the student’s previous University.
