Dr. GANDU Sebastien

|   PAU

The Central African hub of the Pan African University located in Cameroon, unlike the other PAU institutes which are located in one campus, has the specific feature to be located in two different campuses.

Actually, the Pan African University Institute of Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences (PAUGHSS) offers high level trainings in two major fields of study: Governance and Regional integration (Yaounde campus) and Translation and Conference Interpretation (Buea campus).

For translation and interpretation programmes (PAUTRAIN), PAUGHSS is working in close collaboration with the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI), a renowned translation school in Africa and the world at large.

For some months now, the management of PAUGHSS has been renewed. The institute is currently headed by a new Director, Prof. Elizabeth Sarange BOSIRE ABENGA, who was commissioned in October 2020. Before, her appointment, the Translation and Interpretation programme also got a new programme Coordinator, Dr. GANDU Sebastien.

But, who is Dr. GANDU Sebastien?

Dr. Gandu Sebastien is a senior conference interpreter and translator.

He has a PhD in Applied Linguistics and currently the Secretary-General of the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI)

Before his appointment as Programme Coordinator for PAUTRAIN, he has worked as the Head of the Interpretation Department at the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters of the University of Buea. He took office some months ago.

We wish him the best in this new challenge.
