|   PAU

AU ECHO is the African Union’s Magazine. Published on an annual basis, this magazine provides a platform for the 55 AU Member States and African citizens to profile the successes of Africa and to impart knowledge and experiences borne from African led initiatives, based on the instruments and decisions of the African Union.

Following the Call for Papers launched last year by the Magazine’s editors, we are once more pleased to announce that the Article of Daphne Tinomuda Gora, 7th batch of Master at PAUGHSS and currently doing internship at EAC Secretariat, was selected and published in the 2021 AU ECHO Magazine.

The said article which can be read at page 72 of the Magazine is entitled

“The role of culture as an effective mechanism for Regional integration in Africa”.

This contribution by a PAU student is worth commending as it is unprecedented.

In addition, considering the high ranking readers of this Magazine including Heads of State, Ministers, senior policy makers, the selection process is merit-based, meaning that this student is brilliant.

Moreover, the ideas developed in her article could be used in the advancement of the AU Agenda.
We are very proud of her and encourage PAU Fellows to read this article which is in line with the AU theme for the year: “Arts, Culture and Heritage: levers for Building the Africa We Want”.
