ELECTION OF THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE PAU COUNCIL

Within the Decisions adopted during the last AU Executive Council’s meeting which took place on 3 February 2022, was the election of the Vice-President of the Pan African University Council.
Thus, Professor Amany Abdallah El-Sharif from North Africa, and specifically Egypt, was elected as the new Vice-President of the PAU Council. She replaces Dr. Nthabiseng Audrey Ogude from South Africa, who completed her three-year mandate in this position.
In the coming days, she will join the new management of the Pan African University, including the new President of the PAU Council, Prof. Kenneth Kamwi Matengu from Namibia and the Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, who assumed duties a few weeks ago.
We wish her good luck in this new adventure.
