INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY !

|   PAU

🚨Intellectual property refers to the category of property that includes intangible creations of the human intellect. The modern concept of intellectual property developed in England in the 17th and 18th centuries. But, it was not until the late 20th century that intellectual property became commonplace in the majority of the world's legal systems.

đźš¨Intellectual property rights include patents, copyright, industrial design rights, trademarks, plant variety rights, trade dress, geographical indications, and in some jurisdictions trade secrets.

đźš¨The World Intellectual Property Rights Day is celebrated each year on 26 April, to discuss the role that intellectual property (IP) rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity.

🚨In Africa, the Headquarters of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) is located in Yaounde, Cameroon. We strongly encourage our students to develop the culture of Intellectual Property especially as PAU promotes, amongst others, innovation.
