Preamble

The Pan African University Institute for Basic Science, Technology and Innovation- PAUSTI, is one of the five hubs of the Pan African University which was inaugurated on 14th December 2011 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Short-Term Positions

To complement our faculty, we are seeking to fill short-term positions at the level of Senior lecturer and above to participate in the teaching/research in the following MSc & PhD Programs.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Required Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory requirements for all short-term positions:

1. Candidates must be at a level of senior lecturer and above in a recognized University with a minimum 5 years’ experience at an institution of higher education in the relevant thematic field; in addition, they must be excellent in English language proficiency.

Remuneration of Short-Term Lecturers

Courses are paid as per contact hours, where one credit = 15 contact hours.

Additionally, visa costs, travel and subsistence allowances will be covered according to existing PAUSTI guidelines.

Starting Date and Duration of Contracts

Appointment: During the First semester of the academic year 2024

Duration of short-term positions: between four (4) to sixteen (16) weeks depending on workload (credits) allocated. The semesters are organized as follows.

The semester I; May – August, 2024.

The semester II; September - December, 2024.
