Co-curriculum Activities
In order to produce holistic students, PAUSTI encourages all students to actively engage in co-curriculum activities such as sporting, clubs and societies.
Entrepreneurship Club
African youths have many ideas, but lack insight on their nation’s innovative values. Innovation is the only sustainable way through which Africa can surmount its socio-economic and political challenges. There may not be a better avenue to address at scale the problems presented, than the opportunity that the Pan African University Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI) offers with a mix of the brightest minds from 44 African countries.
The PAUSTI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club (PEIC) is conceived to be a forum to engage young and bright African youths, and channel their positive energy to brainstorm and act on innovative solutions and create entrepreneurial ventures that will bring about the desired Africa future.
The foundational roles of startups in the continent’s economy makes an Entrepreneurship club an asset to any college campus. This is why the founders of the PAUSTI Entrepreneurship & Innovation Club want it to be a tool through which students can use their knowledge to fill the current innovation void. The club will be an incubation center for Africa’s future entrepreneurs and innovators, with the motto: CONCEIVE IT. DO IT. ACHIEVE IT.
VISION
The vision of P.E.I.C is to raise African future entrepreneurs and innovators.
MISSION
P.E.I.C believe that by creating a platform for young Africans, with brilliant ideas and that come from different parts of the continent to collaborate, it will ignite a strong passion and promote an innovative and entrepreneurial culture among PAUSTI scholars. The Club Mission is in agreement with the Pan African University’s strategic vision of developing institutions of excellence that would usher in a new generation of leaders properly trained to take the best advantage of African human and material resources, imbued with a common vision of a peaceful, prosperous and integrated Africa.
The club activities are organized to help PAUSTI students turn their ideas and passions into businesses and develop future entrepreneurs. P.E.I.C aims to produce thinkers with a business sense.
