REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR PROVISION OF) FOR PROVISION OF INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR PROPERTY, PLANT &EQUIPMENT SERVICES

As part of the operationalization of the African Union Organ, The Pan African University Institute of Basic Sciences Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI) hereby invites all interested, experienced, and licensed General insurance Services Companies to submit proposals for Security Services in the PAUSTI Block under a Three-year contract based on performance. Details are listed in the Terms of reference attached.

Bidding is open to all Contractors who meet the eligibility criteria below:

1) Bidders shall be Registered Companies with a valid trading license

2) Minimum five years’ Experience in provision of Security services preferably with projects comparable in size and magnitude of the PAUSTI’S current requirement.

3) Signed bid form

4) Proof of Firm’s financial capacity for the last three years. (To be enclosed with the technical proposal)

5) Entries of joint venture should have a lead Company which should clearly state the members of the joint venture and a Memorandum of Understanding signed and sealed by all members.

6) Documentation accompanying the bid must be in English Contractors are hereby notified that there will be a formal Site Visit which will take place from 16/01/24 to March 1/2024 during working hours. Each representative is to be present at the PAUSTI premises (Reception on 2^nd floor building B) at the scheduled time where he/she will be escorted by the security focal person Section’s staff to the building.

7) Attendance of mandatory site visit

The FINANCIAL and TECHNICAL offers must be delivered in TWO SEPARATE inner envelopes to the address below on or before 25^th March 2024 at 5:00PM local time. 

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR TECHNICAL PROPOSAL DOES NOT INDICATE ANY PRICE ELEMENTS

Envelopes should be clearly marked with the Title of the procurement and procurement number. Bidders are required to submit ONE original and TWO copies of the Technical and financial offer.

Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days.  Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened to bidders.
