2024 COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM

"An Africa whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African people, especially its women and youth, and caring for children" – this is one of the specific aspiration of the African Union Agenda 2063 which resonates deeply with social responsibility.

In line with the Agenda 2063, a Community Outreach Program themed, ‘Rebuilding Lives Through Empathy and Empowerment’, was organized by the PAULESI Ladies Forum comprising of all female students in the Pan African University Life and Earth Sciences Institute (PAULESI).

As part of the activity for the 2024 Outreach Program, a visit to the Nigerian Correctional Service, Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State was embarked upon on Saturday 10 February 2024. The visit afforded the students the opportunity to demonstrate compassion and support to the female inmates while uplifting their spirit through dance, songs and games. Sanitary items were donated and medical checks were conducted as well.
At the end of the visit, a resounding message of empowerment and support lingered, serving as a beacon of hope for a brighter future.
