IBADAN STEMSHOWCASE 2025
The Ibadan STEM Showcase 2025 was held on Friday, October 17 2025, with the objective of inspiring young Africans and promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education among secondary school students. The event attracted over 270 participants, including students, teachers, facilitators, and members of staff, providing a dynamic platform for innovation, creativity, and collaboration in STEM learning.
A key highlight of the event was the High School Innovation Challenge, which featured 16 young innovators from four participating schools presenting creative solutions to real-world problems. The top three projects were Car Modeling by Adedeji John of International School Ibadan (1st place), Chatbot by Fasesiayemi Daramola of Vale College (2nd place), and Game App by Oluwapemisire Emida, also of Vale College (3rd place). All participants received certificates of participation, while the top three innovators were recognized with award plaques and gifts for their outstanding performances.
The Innovation Showcase and Hands-on Experience segment offered participants the opportunity to actively participate in practical sessions focused on robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D design and printing, embedded systems, and programming. Teachers also benefited from a professional development session facilitated by Skillbuddi Foundation, which focused on innovative approaches to STEM teaching. The success of the Ibadan STEM Showcase 2025 reaffirmed PAULESI’s commitment to advancing STEM education and fostering innovation among Africa’s youth, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to address the continent’s future challenges.
PAULESI invites schools, educators, and industry partners to collaborate in future editions of the STEM Showcase as we continue to nurture the next generation of African innovators and problem-solvers. Together, we can build a stronger foundation for scientific excellence, creativity, and sustainable technological advancement across the continent.
