Visit to the Pan-African University by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the African Union
Yaoundé-Cameroun, 26 November 2024.
The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the African Union, H. E. Mr Hu Changchun, visits the Pan African University in Yaounde and presents a certificate of award to the tune of 18,000 dollars and more.
The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the African Union, H. E. Mr Hu Changchun was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Guo Jun, and Senior Colonel Guo Baojian, Defense Attache of China to the AU. Also with them was his PA, Ms. Lui Xinyi
They paid a visit to the permarnent site of the Pan African University. They were received by the Vice Rector, Professor Bolanle Akeredolu-Ale, Prof Wilfred N. Gabsa, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Gilles Ogandaga Ndiaye, Senior Academic and Students Affairs and Mr Harlson Cho the PAU Admin Assistant.
After the visit to the permanent site, a meeting was held at the Rectorate, during which the certificate of the award was presented. In addition to this a firm commitment of the Chinese government was delivered establish PAU institute of Engineering. In addition, academic collaboration, staff and student exchange possibilities were explored
