PAU WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

16 to 19 October 2022 in Yaounde, Cameroon

Communication and IT Officers Set to Expand PAU’s brand awareness

They committed to working more for the visibility of the Pan African University within and beyond Africa, during the PAU communications and website development workshop from 16 to 19 October 2022 in Yaounde, Cameroon, with the Rectorate’s assistance and GIZ’s support.

The workshop focused mainly on the university’s website, as this was designed to serve as a central point of communication.
Increasing its attractiveness was hence the main concern of participants during this four-day training session. They therefore carried out practical exercises to ensure proper ownership and management of the website.
Another key issue was the joint roadmap on future activities and the way forward in the popularization of the Pan African University among AU Member States, and equally African and international students, academia, institutions of higher learning, actors from the business community and global stakeholders.
This strategic orientation stems from the need to generate interest in PAU mandate and activities within and beyond the continent, and brand its image as a centre of African excellence.
The training workshop, it should be noted, was a follow up of a first one held in July 2022 still in Yaounde.
Among new participants were Dr. Sebastien Gandu, Programme Coordinator of PAUTRAIN, and a representative of the AU Directorate of Information and Communication.
The opening and closing ceremonies took place in the presence of Dr. Gilles Ogandanga, Senior Academic and Student Affairs Officer, Chancelle Bilampassi Moutatsi, PAU Rectorate Communications Officer, and Jean-Paul Brice Affana, Head of GIZ PAU Project.
They all pledged to meet at least twice a year to better follow up the implementation of the PAU communication strategy.
